«EXHIBIT: US Colored Troops (February through May, 2024)

$

Running through May, 2024, the USCT exhibit at GCHS includes ephemera, photos, and biographies of African American residents that served in in the Union Army’s Colored Troop Regiments during the Civil War and included more than 2,900 troops from New Jersey and hundreds from Gloucester County and South Jersey. Our exhibit highlights the men of the 22nd Regiment USCT and local Civil War veteran Frank Kersey. We invite all to come see and learn more about these brave men who risked their lives to serve their country.
