In an evening event that combined 16th century musical traditions with the spirt of the Christmas holiday, sixteen Madrigal Singers who are members of the Gateway Regional High School Concert Choir performed on December 19th at the Gloucester County Historical Society‘s headquarters in Woodbury, N.J. For lack of a stage, they mounted themselves on the main stairway of the sprawling victorian mansion that houses the Society’s museum. The audience sat in adjacent rooms as the first floor became a sounding chamber filled with young voices.
