A Time for Change: Civil Rights in South Jersey
Thanks to the African-American Heritage Museum of Southern New Jersey for bringing us this exhibit that details South Jersey’s participation in the tumultuous Civil Rights movement of the 1960s. Free. Open to the public Monday through Saturday from 10am-7pm, Closed Sunday. Coupons obtained at the exhibit allow for free admission to the Gloucester County Historical Society’s World War I exhibit. (Restrictions apply, see coupon for details.)

Sat June 15 2PM “They Slice The Air” at Bethlehem Baptist Church 414 Mantua Pike., Woodbury: Back by popular demand for its fifth appearance we offer this moving presentation of spirituals, poetry, and narratives. Light refreshments will be served immediately following with an opportunity to meet the cast and to view fine art by Kendall Gourdine. Free. RSVP requested.
 
Tues, June 18 6:30PM Family Lore with Gene Armstead, Jr. at the Gloucester County Historical Society Library, 17 Hunter St., Woodbury: President of the Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society, Eugene “Gene” Armstead, Jr. shares his experience wading through family lore and breaking through brick walls to find his ancestors and uncover his heritage. Free. Limited seating, RSVP requested.
